Skin Diseases

The skin is the soft and pliant membrane that covers the entire surface of the body which is characterized by small, red, pus-filled bumps on the face.

The interior, like the exterior, is likewise covered by a skin, which, from its always being moist, is called a mucous membrane. At the various openings of the body, the outer and the inner skins are united, forming one continuous skin, like the same piece of silk turned over the border, and covering both the outside and inside of a bonnet.
